Hi I am Carol

I was born and raised in South Florida but always dreamed of living in NYC one day. That dream became a reality when I attended NYU Tandon School of Engineering. I graduated in 2020 with a bachelors of science in civil and urban engineering.

I was drawn to civil engineering because I have always had a keen eye for problem solving, and a love for transportation systems. After a few years of working in the industry as a Bridge Engineer, I decided I wanted to contribute to the industry by making a broader difference in the field.

I caught on pretty quickly how outdated most of the industry still is - tasks were still being done the way they were 20 - 30 years ago. With many engineers still relying on just pen and paper for their daily work. We frequently used programs that were designed in the early 2000’s and had never been updated again.

AEC Tech is still relatively new and often not designed by people with industry experience. I wanted to make a larger difference in the field by pushing forward the technology used. Having a background in engineering and construction allows me to have a clear understanding of the industry and the users needs, ensuring that business and user goals remain aligned.

I will be attending Parsons School of Design in the Fall of 2026 for my masters in communication design and concentration in digital product design where I plan on continuing my education and deepening my understanding of the product and design to bring into AEC Tech.
